Wings Luxury Travel began life in 1973 as a 24 hour car service based in Uxbridge Road, Middlesex. Our current MD, Fred Gritt, was passionate about creating a family run business and, as the business grew, employed his brothers, mother & sister. When, in 1975, clients started to request larger vehicles the business purchased its first 12 seat Ford Transit minibus closely followed by a 16 seat vehicle.
As the business developed Fred recognised that there was a demand for more 'executive' specification vehicles and Wings Luxury Travel introduced the custom built 16 seat executive - a move that was to secure our position as a leading coach hire London operator
As the business and our enviable reputation grew the decision was made to sell the 24 hour car service and concentrate exclusively on building a fleet of 16, 24, 29, and 34 seat vehicles in both standard and luxury specifications. Soon after Freds brother, Bill, joined the business as General Manager and carried the responsibility of setting new standards for the coach hire industry and making sure that not only do our vehicles exceed expectations but our staff had an uncompromised attitude to customer service.
Todays vehicles include features such as tables, leather seating, air conditioning, WIFI, and toilet/washroom facilities. Drivers wear shirt and tie whenever they are behind the wheel of a Wings vehicle making us the number one choice for coach hire London.
